—Annie Dillard
At The Star-Splitter Academy, learning is wedded to wonder. Perhaps the most important distinctions of a Star-Splitter education are the ideas that we can understand the macro by examining the micro (and the micro by exploring the macro) and the realization that education is a lifelong pursuit, aided by the application of the fundamental tools of learning.
The gallery below contains the wonderful Annie Dillard essay from which we’ve drawn our motto, along with slides that we made dramatizing connections that Dillard—and we, as her active readers—have discovered.
